About Us

Hi, I'm Eli, the founder of Yozora.

I've always been drawn to the intersection of creativity, engineering, and the outdoors. Whether I'm designing products, playing my saxophone, or exploring new places, I'm fascinated by the way thoughtful design can shape how people experience the world around them.

I currently attend the University of Colorado Boulder where I study Mechanical Engineering as well as Saxophone Performance. I have 8 years of 3D printing and design experience, as well as 6 years of experience running, and maintaining an online, 3D printing business. I am extremely dedicated to making sure that my designs actually are useable and affect the day to day lives of my customers. In my free time, I enjoy camping and exploring the outdoors, which is a founding principle for this business.

Yozora began with a simple realization: some of the most beautiful things in nature are disappearing from everyday life. For many people, the stars are hidden behind a growing glow of artificial light. As I learned more about light pollution and its effects on wildlife, ecosystems, and our connection to the night sky, I began looking for practical ways to help.

What I found is that it is rather expensive to transition to Dark-Sky-Friendly lighting and I set out to fix this issue with the founding of Yozora.

As someone who enjoys building and creating, I saw an opportunity to combine engineering, design, and environmental stewardship into a product that could make a meaningful difference. My goal wasn't just to create another outdoor lighting accessory, but to offer a simple solution that helps homeowners improve their lighting while preserving the beauty of the night.

Every product is designed with the same philosophy: guide light where it's needed, reduce what isn't, and help people reconnect with the stars.

Thank you for supporting a small business built around the idea that even small changes can have a lasting impact.

Protect the Night. Keep the Light.
